A rare Art Nouveau carved walnut clock depicting an erotic figure of a wood nymph with long flowing hair wearing a diaphanous dress clinging to a tree; the side and front carved with mistletoe. The striking movement with outside locking wheel stamped 'Japy Freres'.

A large and important french ormolu clock surmounted by the seated figure of Demeter - the sister of Zeus and Goddess of Agriculture - and son, both holding sheafs of corn. The clock modelled with scythe and harrow and inset with two sevres plaques painted with cupids in agricultural theme. With original gilding. The dial stamped 'Henry Marc A Paris' and the mounts stamped C.T.
