A fine quality French ormolu clock with original gilding modelled with a cupid, goats, a bird and trophies and inset with jewelled sevres plaques decorated with figures and flowers on a pink ground. The movement stamped 'Japy Freres'. On a giltwood stand.

A rare Art Nouveau carved walnut clock depicting an erotic figure of a wood nymph with long flowing hair wearing a diaphanous dress clinging to a tree; the side and front carved with mistletoe. The striking movement with outside locking wheel stamped 'Japy Freres'.

A large and important jewelled sevres and ormolu-mounted striking mantel clock with original gilding. The dial painted with flowers and butterflies on a pale blue, green and white ground. Surmounted by a two-handled porcelain and ormolu vase. The movement stamped 'JBD' and retailed by Ellis Brothers Exeter.

A very fine quality french ormolu glass-sided clock with visible escapement and mercury and ormolu pendulum. The dial signed by the retailer 'Howell James & Co, Paris' - jewellers and silversmiths of Regent St. London, they exhibited in the Great Exhibition of London and in Paris during the late 19th century.
